Exceptional senior Technology Consulting role reporting to MD of innovative mid-sized IT services business

To further strengthen their value proposition to their clients and also their leveraged revenue they seek a strongly client and business facing Consultant at Director level in a newly created Technology Consulting role reporting to the Managing Director.

This key “trusted advisor” and Technology Consulting role will work at Board level with clients, with the CIO/CTO and also the business leaders to shape their thinking, define and architect pragmatic advanced solutions and oversee delivery. The consultant will work closely with the sales/account teams and the solution delivery leaders to ensure outstanding service, value and results.

The individual will be a technology consultant and evangelist, passionate and knowledgeable about current technology developments and able to have detailed technology discussions and hold their own with any CIO/CTO. They will also be business facing, commercially aware and strategic.

Key measures of success will be client satisfaction and revenue growth. While this is not a sales role the individual will need to sell themselves as a chargeable resource to clients and occupy a senior hybrid business development, utilization, leadership and capability development role. They will also need to leverage and influence pull through development and IT projects, but only where this is in the account/client’s best long term interests.

The role will involve travel to clients in the UK and occasionally Europe and the individual could live anywhere in the UK.

  • Significant experience at a senior level in Technology Consulting in a leading IT services firm or management consultancy
  • Demonstrable commercial experience including selling consultancy services, business case development, proof of concept projects and leveraging major IT project sales
  • Deep, broad and current technology experience
  • Understanding of software development across whole lifecycle and agile delivery principles
  • Experience of architecting large and complex technology programmes
  • Experience of enterprise wide business transformation
