Fast pace role for talented Management Consultant in established boutique CIO advisory consultancy firm
Our client is a well established boutique IT management consulting firm that combines IT strategy, consultancy and delivery services to help manage change and meet business challenges. Their capabilities are around IT transformation: from defining the strategy and roadmap, through proposing and procuring solutions, to providing a project office and overseeing service migrations.
From an early focus on Financial Services, which remains successful, they are now diversifying and have a thriving Public Sector capability.
They are entering the next phase of their ambitious growth plans.
Core offerings including IT and Digital Strategy, IT Target Operating Model, Service Management, Sourcing, IT Risk Control and Security, IT Financial Business Management, IT Delivery.

IT management consulting experience is not required but you will of course need an interest in developing your career in the strategic IT space.

Salary and package:
Base salaries in the range £55,000 – c.£70,000 + bonus + benefits
Location and mobility:
Work is mostly in the southeast of England and within the M25, although there may be times when you need to travel further afield to be at client sites.
The current priorities are for candidates:
- who have recently worked for a Big 4 (or equivalent major consulting firm) in a permanent role
- with some experience of any one of: project/portfolio management/PMO; IT & Digital Strategy; IT Operating Model; Service Management; Procurement or Strategic Sourcing; Risk, Control & Security; Business/financial management of IT spend; building complex financial models using Excel
There is no specific technical knowledge required, only a broad awareness and interest in joining a strategic technology consultancy firm. You should have some knowledge/interest in such areas as Cloud, Robotics, Cyber Security and/or AI and understand the disruptive drivers associated with technology.
The company encourages their Consultants to attend training courses provided by accredited external bodies to give such qualifications as CIPS, CIMA and Prince2 or equivalent.
