Business Unit Director

Our client is a well respected mid sized IT services firm: a recent reorganisation has created an opportunity for a talented and ambitious leader to take the reins of a business within an autonomous, successful subsidiary providing network services and related enterprise wide IT solutions.

The role will have overall responsibility for a £15m+, 150 staff business with a remit to continue profitable growth. This will be achieved through harnessing and developing the strong management team, improving the operational aspects of the business and ensuring business development opportunities are maximised across the business. This will include optimising internal synergies and communications, expanding the company brand and further developing long term relationships at CxO level with clients and partners. The role works within a high calibre leadership team comprising another Business Unit Director and the Sales Director and reports to the Senior Vice President.

• Recent experience of successfully managing and growing a £10m+/50 person+ professional services, consultancy or managed services business within IT services or network services, probably as a Business Unit leader, Professional Services Director or equivalent
• Strong operations/delivery experience with a good experience of the commercial and people aspects of business management
• Experience with clients in one or more of the telecoms, financial services, utilities or secure government sectors
• Clear track record of job and employer stability and career growth.
