Over half of CVs reveal inaccuracies

Apparently based  on 456,000 due diligence checks of more than 125,000 job applications  an astonishing 40% of applications included a false grade, qualification, institution, course or date and overall 56% of job applications received last year contained incorrect details about the candidate. Normally I’d disregard surveys produced by a CV checking agency but it’s difficult to argue with the figures. However candidates are playing with fire: an increasing number of employers are conducting these checks which can lead to an offer being withdrawn or if the candidate is already in the job, fired.
